Epoca creates urban public space through private investment. The idea is to dedicate space, otherwise used for comercial purposes, to public comon areas aimed to beneffit town. Open public space attracts people, maintaining profitability for its investors. Therefore, this given space should be seen as invested space that is actively bringing people into the premises. Shadows and natural ventilation was important. Luckily, Epoca’s steep terrain, which heightens on the south, creates shadows, allowing the building to open in the north  facing at  towns historic center.
